Simon Barwick

Simon Barwick is a Director of Financial Planning with McLean Delmo Bentleys Financial Services at McLean Delmo Bentleys.

Simon has been working in the finance industry since 1998. During this time, he has held roles in business development, as an adviser, in senior management and as a practice owner.

Simon is committed to educating and empowering clients to make informed decisions about their financial future. He provides a client centric, ‘goals based’ approach to financial planning which cuts through the myriad of financial jargon to provide a straightforward approach to meeting a client’s financial needs.

Simon works with clients to ascertain their financial goals, develops detailed strategies, recommends appropriate products, and implements a structured review process to deliver positive financial outcomes.

Simon is highly experienced in advising individuals, business owners and families on retirement planning, superannuation, managed investments, and personal insurance. He assists them to protect and create wealth, prior to and during retirement.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. He is registered with the Tax Practitioners Board (TBB) and holds accreditation to provide advice on self-managed super funds (SMSF’s), securities and margin lending.

Prior to joining McLean Delmo Bentleys Simon was the joint founder and Managing Director of a cross jurisdictional financial services company. This practice specialised in advising and managing the transfer of UK pensions to Australia and integrating this advice with holistic Australian financial planning. Over 14 years Simon directly, and through his companies, assisted thousands of business and skilled migrants to successfully make Australia their home.

Simon has worked extensively with SME business owners, predominately advising on buy-sell agreements, estate planning and succession planning.

Simon embraces a collaborative approach in delivering advice to business owners and has worked extensively with other professionals to manage successful client outcomes.
