Rick Basheer

Rick Basheer is a Partner in the Business Services division of Bentleys SA/NT.

Rick is a Chartered Accountant, who specialises in providing advice to the hospitality industry, particularly in the areas of food, beverage and gaming.

Rick specialises in providing tax and financial management advice to a wide range of clients, predominantly in the SME and family-owned markets. He has a deep understanding of taxation planning matters, including capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax and goods and services tax.

Rick is widely regarded for his expertise in the hospitality sector. He has advised numerous organisations, including hotels, resorts and sporting clubs. Rick has also advised on many projects for the Australian Hotels Associations in both South Australia and Northern Territory, along with projects for the Adelaide Festival Centre, SeaLink, Coopers and National Wine Centre, in addition to other private hotel groups.

Rick is also involved in the management of hotel venues in South Australia, through his family businesses, keeping him highly relevant with first hand knowledge of this fast paced industry.

More broadly, Rick is skilled in the areas of financial reporting and management, budgeting and cash flow management, profit and cash flow improvement, feasibility studies and finance submissions, superannuation and business structuring.
