Richard McArtney

Richard McArtney is a Partner at Bentleys Newcastle.

Richard has a hands-on background in small business, having operated as a owner operator. He has over 25 years of experience in accounting and business development. He has been a leader at Bentleys Newcastle since July 1999.

Richard is a Fellow with CPA Australia and a Chartered Accountant. He has experience in operating businesses in industries such as retail and fashion, wholesale, printing industry and yacht charter. This diverse background equips Richard with genuine expertise in the challenges of business management – including surviving cash flow crises.

Richard specialises in analysing business performance, undertaking business valuations and analysing businesses against industry wide benchmarks. He advises in client areas involved in the automotive industry, medical, golf professionals, music industry, charter yacht industry, financial services, cafes and restaurants, construction and related services.

Richard’s major projects have included:

• 3 way forecasting and ongoing monitoring for large independent liquor wholesaler and associated companies.
• Valuation and eventual sale of Learning Management Service company.
