Ray Short

Ray Short has over 15 years’ experience in public practice and the private sector.

Ray is able to provide a wide range of skill sets to his clients. His core focus is business services and tax, however Ray also has vast experience providing corporate finance services.

As part of his business services and tax role Ray provides all necessary functions to meet a client’s statutory requirements including financial statements, income tax returns, GST returns, FBT returns and state based taxes. Ray also work closely with client to ensure tax planning and tax structuring is maintained to minimize the tax burden as well as assisting with business functions such as strategic planning and budgeting.

In addition to the above Ray also provides a suite of corporate finance services to help clients through major transactions. These include strategy reviews, managing the business sale process, due diligence (both financial and tax), data room management, financial modelling, capital raising, and project management.

Prior to joining the firm, Ray provided taxation, other business services and corporate finance support to family and foreign owned business at Mutual Trust and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ray has extensive experience in providing business services, tax planning and assisting clients with major transactions such as the purchase or sale of their business.

Ray is a Member of CAANZ Australia and has a Bachelor of Economics with majors in Economics and Accounting from Monash University.

Each client has their own unique strengths and weaknesses and as such it is important to build strong lasting relationships to ensure the appropriate value is being added. My most enjoyable times at work are when positive outcomes are achieved for clients.
