As a business advisory professional, Mark provides assistance to clients on a range of levels, including business establishment and structuring, cashflow forecasting, finance and tax advisory, business sale and taxation planning, and acting on an advisory board.

His approach is to take the options for a decision, streamline it into a logical set of arguments for and against each case, research these and come up with a conclusion that best fits the client. In his experience, Mark finds that more often, questions and challenges for businesses are beyond just financial outcomes and are more family or emotional decisions, and this is where his comprehensive understanding of his clients is of greatest benefit.
Mark is also experienced in advisory around Self Managed Superannuation Funds and securing the financial future for clients. He works together with Financial Planners and other professionals to enable clients to prosper with their investments or protect their existing investments.
Mark’s major projects have included:
- Sale of an Electrical Wholesaling business, assisting in the negotiation of the sale, analysing Capital gains Tax therefrom and providing strategies for its minimisation and providing strategies for the dissolution of the company.
- Purchase of a Pharmacy including evaluation of the financial results to establish a purchase price and advice as to structuring the ownership of the business.
- Negotiation with the ATO regarding Self Managed Superannuation non compliance undertaken at a former advisor, to gain a clean bill of health with the ATO.
- Preparation of a 3 way forecast for various businesses to advise on the expected Cash Flow, Profit and Balance Sheet.
- CFO Services for a local manufacturing firm on an ongoing basis.
