Important NSW announcements
Following the extended lockdown announcement, the NSW Government has today announced a further expansion to the JobSaver program.
Two Key points:
- The annual turnover threshold has been increased from $50m to $250m
- The maximum weekly payout has been increased from $10k per week to $100k per week. The payment based on 40% of payroll remains unchanged but means that employers with larger payrolls will be entitled to have weekly payouts increased

NSW faces its greatest challenge yet with the Premier’s announcement today, Wednesday 28 July 2021, regarding the latest restrictions for NSW businesses and workplaces to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. Much of NSW, including Greater Sydney will be in lockdown until at least the 28th August 2021.
For us, this means that our office will remain temporarily closed until restrictions are eased.
We are still here for you
While we are required to close our office doors until restrictions ease we are set up to serve you remotely. Although we cannot meet with you face to face, you can still contact us via phone and email, and we can set up a meeting via telephone, or via videoconferencing such as Microsoft Teams. We have secure IT infrastructure in place to ensure that our team can work on client files safely and securely from home.
Document drop off
We kindly ask that if it has been your preference to drop documents off to our office in the past, that you please send documents via post to our address. Bentleys NSW, Level 14, 60 Margaret St, Sydney NSW 2000.
During our office closure there is no change to our working hours. The team are working as usual, off site in the safety of their homes. This means you can still contact any member of our team from 8:45am to 5:15pm Monday to Friday. Please continue to call your Advisor on their direct office phone number (which they can access from home) or via our main phone number (02) 9220 0700 to speak to our Receptionist.
We understand it may not be feasible for everyone to make the move to digital, but we do encourage you during these times to use email to contact our team electronically. Please contact your Bentleys advisor who can discuss the options available to securely share documents electronically via our MYOB Client Portal, or secure file transfer portal to assist you as we work in a ‘COVID-19 environment’. We wish to thank you for your assistance in making this a smooth transition and hope that going digital is something we can continue and expand on in future.
Please be assured that while we may be working differently, we are ready to work with you so that we all get through this period safely.
