The Bentleys Audit division is supported by the Bentleys National Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). One of the roles of the TAC is to provide technical advice to individual audit teams as required. A key member of the technical team is a current member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) in Australia. This means we have direct access to the AASB’s thought process on the impact of any new standards, how changes to existing standards should be dealt with and the application of current standards. As a result were able to pass on these unique insights to our clients and where applicable obtain specific advice on technical matters for clients.

For most NFPs the adoption of the new complex Accounting Standards will come with a range of individual challenges to overcome. The entity needs to consider systems, processes, data collection, communication and the overall impact on financial metrics, debt covenants and remuneration schemes.

Bentleys can assist with a bespoke pathway for your organisation to transition to the new accounting standards:

  • AASB 16 Leases
  • AASB 15 & AASB 1058
  • AASB 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers
  • AASB 1058 Income of Not-for-profit Entities
  • We can ensure that your organisation is implementing the most efficient and effective processes to fraud prevention and offer the best strategies to address any issues.

Recognition and implementation of the new ACNC regulatory framework and associated governance requirements by Australia’s 55,000 registered charities will serve to build confidence in this important sector.

With numerous and important responsibilities imposed on directors that are legal requirements.

Greater boardroom accountability and diligence will ensure that organisations are well run and able to serve the community they claim to represent with the services they need and want.  We provide your Board with reliable and timely information and advice which will result in more informed decisions.
