Federal budget to precede next election
Today, Tuesday 27 November 2018, the Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that the 2019-20 federal budget will be held on 2 April 2019, ahead of the federal election which is expected to be held in May 2019.
The Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg, also announced that the mid-year economic and fiscal outlook (MYEFO) will be released on 17 December 2018.
