The teams include universities translating research, entrepreneurs focused on the aged care sector, and an intrapreneurial ‘spin-out’ of a large aged care provider.
While the pre-COVID 2019 Pitch Day was held face-to-face, this year’s event will run online – alongside the ITAC Virtual Summit.

About the Program
CareFactor is a purpose-built program to foster innovators of all descriptions to develop unique solutions to aged care industry challenges. Following the success of the 2019 cohort, CareFactor run again over 2020 and 2021. Applications are currently closed.
3 Day Masterclass
9, 10, 11 November 2020
The Masterclass provided three days of intensive learning and rapid development, including expert presentations, innovation workshops and our flagship “speed pitching” session with aged care providers. Topics included:
- aged care industry
- entrepreneurship & commercialisation
- finance & investment-ready
- costing & budgeting
- marketing and communications
- human resources and hiring

8 Week Mentoring Course
November 2020 – February 2021
Over two four-week intensive courses (November 2020 and February 2021), teams are engaging with the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for weekly check-ins. Sessions are focused on goal planning and achievement, growth guidance and pitch preparation. In addition, exclusive weekly themed content is shared with the cohort (including industry-specific webinars).
