About you:

We are looking for someone with:

  • a CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
  • approximately 6 years plus Australian public practice experience in a professional services firm
  • strong technical skills and initiative
  • the ability to take job ownership/accountability
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong IT skills (MYOB AE and other MYOB accounting packages, Microsoft Office suite including Excel)
  • the ability to work under pressure in a close team environment
  • strong technical skills and initiative

About the role:

Key duties of the role are:

  • Working on complex types of engagement and identification to delegate processing work to more junior staff members
  • Reviewing jobs as directed and provide review points
  • Drafting tax advice including conducting necessary technical research and its application specific to client’s circumstances
  • Contacting ATO and other regulatory bodies to resolve more complex issues
  • Responding to client questions in relation to engagement management
  • Identifying potential tax compliance and audit risks areas
  • Assisting in training/mentoring junior staff, including induction for internal business processes.
