About the opportunity
As a Senior Bookkeeper collaborating directly with clients, you will have a strong client-centric approach and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across a large and varied portfolio of clients.In this fast-paced role you will gain exposure across a broad range of bookkeeping solutions. Your Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Provide excellent client service standards and make memorable moments
Provide high quality external bookkeeping services to clients, including but not limited to payroll (e.g. processing of, preparation of payroll tax, long service leave, return to work), end of year processes, BAS, IAS, accounts receivable and accounts payable, bank reconciliations, keeping up to date with compliance requirements (Income Tax, GST, PAYG, Return to Work SA, Superannuation, STP and so forth)
Effectively transfer knowledge, by discovering insights and communicating effectively to your team and clients
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are essential
What you will need to succeed
Your sound technical abilities coupled with a highly driven and collaborative style will set you apart as an ideal candidate for this position. You will have extensive payroll and bookkeeping experience and the ability to transfer knowledge to and guide junior members of the team.
Your ability to interact with, and provide exceptional services to multiple clients daily, multi-tasking, prioritising your day and meeting tight deadlines, along with your high level of professionalism and commitment to customer service will see you thrive in this dynamic team environment.
You will also possess the following:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the professional services industry, or providing bookkeeping services to multiple clients
Sound knowledge of a wide range of software programs (e.g. MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks and so forth) and the ability to assist clients to use these programs effectively
Relevant qualifications in Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
Sound knowledge of accounting standards, Income Tax and GST and the Corporations Act
