About the opportunity 

Reporting directly to the Partner, Tax Consulting, this role is the perfect opportunity for a driven and strategic senior tax professional to take the next step in their leadership journey.  As the Assistant Manager within our market leading Taxation Consulting team, you will provide impactful, commercial tax solutions to a large and diverse portfolio of clients, while coaching and supporting a team of client centric tax professionals.

Your Main Responsibilities will be (but not limited to): 

  • Tax Advisory – providing general and complex advice to a diverse client base
  • Client Relationships – managing the full client lifecycle of both existing and new clients
  • Leadership – Coaching tax team members, managing workflow, delegating and reviewing work
  • Tax Compliance – Managing the client tax related compliance activities for your portfolio of clients

About You: 

The successful candidate will be CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of 4 years tax advisory technical experience and a proven commitment to professional practice. Ideally you have previously worked with a tax advisory accounting or legal firm and/or regulator and will have 1 year of leadership experience, however for the right candidate you may be extremely driven and looking for that next step in your career.

You will also possess the following:

  • Intermediate knowledge of tax legislation and the ability to demonstrate your previous experience applying tax principles to diverse situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion to inspire, mentor and develop a team of talented, high performing individuals

This role requires you to respond quickly in a corporate environment, have excellent presentation and relationship developing skills. If you’re passionate about the detail and leading a team to finding areas for improvement, then Bentleys is where you want to be.
