I have been advising clients on tax matters for many years and really enjoy assisting my clients through the life cycle of establishment of structures; growth; restructuring and sale. I enjoy a challenge and solving problems. I get involved in technical and complex transactions and aim to add a level of depth and knowledge for other business services partners in the practice.
Sharon commenced in public practice in 1993 and spent the first 22 years of her career with Big 4 accounting firms. She joined McLean Delmo Bentleys as a Tax Partner in October 2015. Sharon’s main focus being tax compliance and advisory services for Australian based entities, family groups and Australian entities of foreign private groups in the SME sector.
Sharon has extensive experience in the following areas:
- Tax due diligence and tax advice for clients buying or selling their business, including small business CGT concessions
- Tax advice on structuring and restructuring for corporate and family groups
- Private binding rulings (income tax and GST); Reasonably Arguable Position Papers
- International tax issues for inbound and outbound
Sharon provides consultancy tax advice to her client’s whilst recognising the commercial realities of running their business. Through the identification of new developments in taxation areas and her continual communication of these tax developments to her clients, she is able to provide value adding advice and/or advice that reduces tax risk and exposure to her clients.
