Leonie is a Consultant within the Business Services division. Leonie has moved to the role of Consultant following her retirement from the Bentleys Queensland Partnership after 39 years’ service with the firm.
Leonie is a certified financial planner and is able to provide limited financial advice to clients regarding Superannuation and Self Managed Superannuation Funds as a Representative of Bentleys (QLD) Super.
Leonie has advised clients ranging from sole traders and professionals to multi-million dollar businesses. She has extensive experience in taxation and management of small business, with particular expertise in estate and succession planning, superannuation, retirement and wealth creation strategies.
Leonie is a director of the Army and Airforce Canteen Service (AAFCANS) and has been a director of Tennis Queensland since 2010. Previous directorships include:
Ports Corporation of Queensland from 1994 to 2012 (now known as North Queensland Bulk Ports) – including her role as Chairman of the Corporation in 1999 – and the Queensland Police Citizens Youth Welfare Association from 2005 to 2015. Leonie was also a director of Legal Aid Queensland from 1997 – 2005.
As a member of Women Chiefs of Enterprises International, Leonie was presented with the Marie Watson Blake Medal for outstanding contribution by a member of Women Chiefs of Enterprises International – Australia in 1997.
