I specialise in simplifying the audit process not-for-profits and charities.
Bob has a dual role, being the lead audit director as well as a director of business advisory services. Bob is highly experienced in delivering practical advice to his clients in the small-to-medium enterprise market in the areas of audit and assurance, business advisory services, accounting and taxation.
Prior to joining Bentleys in 2011, Bob had operated his own successful accounting practice for 23 years where he established a cohesive team and a client base which included clients in the not-for-profit , manufacturing , luxury goods retailing, professional services, travel and tourism, e-waste recycling and software sectors. Bob has acted as company secretary for ASX-listed companies and has advised companies looking to list on the ASX. Bob also advises a number of large international subsidiaries in relation to their taxation, accounting and outsourced payroll requirements in Australia.
The not-for-profit sector is one that Bob is particularly passionate about, and he specialises in the audit of charities and other not-for-profits including companies limited by guarantee, professional associations, unions and indigenous corporations. Outside of Bentleys, Bob is an independent trustee of a registered charity for children with brain injuries.
Bob has provided training to other accountants on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants on the legislative changes brought about by the introduction of the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC).
